Quintus Herron on left, Terry Walker on right from Idabel, Oklahoma, show off fine catch of 51 crappie taken 09/20/01 at Grand Bayou Resort in Caushatta, Louisiana. fish were caught in 13 ft. of water using a 32nd ounce solid hot pink hair jig fishing 6 feet deep. Mr. Herron and Mr. Walker enjoyed 2 days of fishing with professional Crappie Guide Richard Lindsey.
Fishing that day was at normal pool stage with water temperature beginning to fall. Crappie were active on straight jigs in and around main channels on planted brush tops. The next 30 days should produce great fishing in North Louisiana |
